Concert Halls
Welcome to the concert halls of Nordic Concerts!
We are proud to present the consortium behind Nordic Concerts consisting of the ten leading concert halls and presenting organisations in Northern Europe working together with Copenhagen Artists to bring about the Nordic Concerts international orchestral series.
Because four of the seven concert halls are and will be new – ‘DR Koncerthuset’ in Copenhagen, ‘Elbphilharmonie Hamburg´, ‘The Reykjavik Concert Hall and Conference Centre’ in Iceland, and finally ‘Music Centre Helsinki’ in Helsinki – and because the Baltic Countries have joined the consortitum in 2010, the series is progressing in steps before eventually becoming the full blown 10 concert series.
Season 2010/2011 will bring the Nordic Concerts Orchestra Series to the following concert halls and presenting organisations:
• DR Koncerthuset (Copenhagen, Denmark)
• Oslo Konserthus (Oslo, Norway)
• Stockholm Konserthus (Stockholm, Sweden)
• Elbphilharmonie Hamburg (Hamburg – Germany)
Season 2011/2012 includes three more concert halls/presenting organizations in the Nordic Concerts Orchestra Series:
• Göteborg Concert Hall (Gothenburg, Sweden)
• Harpa, Reykjavik Concert Hall and Conference Centre (Iceland)
• Helsinki Music Centre (Helsinki, Finland)
• Lietuvos Nacionalie Filharmonija, (Vilnius, Lithuania)
In 2011/2012 the Nordic Concerts orchestra series will therefore visit seven countries and the eight leading concert halls in the Nordic Countries: Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Helsinki, Hamburg, Oslo, Reykjavik, Riga and Stockholm.
Season 2012/2013 will include as well:
• Eesti Kontsert (Tallin, Estonia)
• VSIA Latvijas Koncerti (Riga, Latvia)
On the right menu you’ll find further information on the concert halls included in the Nordic Concerts Orchestra Series.
